New Year’s Looks Inspired By Your Favorite Bloggers!

PC: Mackenzie Johnson @macmac95

We are so excited to have guest blogger Alma Colón from the fabulous blog, almamia.co styling our Black Gold Metallic Print Mini Dress on our blog today!

We asked Alma what makes the perfect NYE look?

“When looking for outfits for special events, where I’m going to be out and about, I look for the three essential Cs: Classy, cute and comfy… ok, I know that’s not a “thing” but it’s really what I consider a necessity and this outfit has it all! I paired it with tights and ankle booties due to the weather (and pasty legs.) However, this dress will be just as great in the summer with cute heels and sun kissed legs.” – Alma Colón (@_alma_)

Date Night Maternity Style

Guest Blogger: Nikki Cagle @CreationsalaNikki from her blog creatingthesilverlining.

When I first got pregnant, I was determined not to become….matronly. I refused to succumb to maternity style, wouldn’t step foot in a Motherhood store, and absolutely would not be caught dead in a jean shirt with a tie above the belly, or ::shudders:: a belly band.

Our First Post-Baby Date Night

Jessie Hale (@hellomyloveblog) from the hello-my-love blog

Like a true Leo, I usually don’t mind a big celebration for my birthday, but this year I really didn’t expect much considering I had a 5 week old newborn – not even a good nights’ sleep! But Chris insisted we do something, so we hired a babysitter, crossed our fingers, and enjoyed our first post-baby date night in celebration of the big 3-4.

One of our favorite things to do with our S.O. is to cook dinner together! It’s a great way to bond and catch up for a night while making something delicious. For a dinner date in, we think a floral short sleeve maternity top with maternity jeans and slip on shoes is the perfect ensemble. You can stay comfortable while cooking in something casual, but choosing a top with a gorgeous floral print makes all the difference. Just make sure to be careful while cooking in your date night outfit, as oil or other ingredients might splatter on your clothes!

Outdoor Picnic or Movie Night

We just love a romantic evening spent outside as the sun goes down and cuddled up next to that special someone. For an evening picnic or a movie outdoors, a maternity maxi dress is our go-to as long sleeves and a long bottom will keep you warm. Not to mention, a printed and draped style dress looks absolutely stunning for a date night. Your dress will do most of the work for you, so all you need to do is complete the look with your favorite accessories! Here we chose a feminine hat and a stylish tote bag to complete our date night look.

We hope you enjoyed this date night at home inspired post, have a happy weekend!

Date Night

Are you overdo for a nice, romantic date night out with your partner? Well, you are definitely going to want to hire your babysitter the second you try on this gorgeous textured maternity dress. Designed specifically with a form-fitted body in a stretchy material, this silhouette hugs all the right curves, making you look and feel amazing throughout the entire night. The best part about a style like this is that it adjusts to your growing bump from week to week so you can continue to wear this piece throughout your entire pregnancy. Hello weekly date night!

You know how you find that perfect dress that just looks and feels right the second you put it on from the time you take it off at night? This will be that maternity dress for you. An abstract, textured design gives this a versatile aspect that we love, letting you try out new styles and trends from week to week with one continuous focal point that will look different each time.

You have the option of edging it up with a heel, clutch, and a structured leather jacket when going out to dinner in the big city or relaxing it up a bit with a simple lightweight maternity cardigan for a movie date. You don’t even have to commit to a late night out. Wear this out on your day date with a fringed over the shoulder bag and booties for simple, yet always stylish flair. It doesn’t matter when or where you’re going out, head out in comfort and style, glowing in this flattering, chic dress.

It’s important to set aside nights to spend quality alone time with your partner before the baby is born to enjoy the calm before the storm. So dress yourself up for a night on the town, relax, and have fun! If you two are heading out to dinner at a new local restaurant, visit “What To Expect” for tips on eating out at a restaurant when you’re pregnant.

Strapless Summer

Who needs straps these days anyway? This summer’s hottest (or coolest) trend that we are head over heels about is anything strapless. It shows just the right amount of skin for a romantic, feminine look. Of course, this trend is perfect for it all. Date night, lunch with the girls, brunch, and even as a cute beach cover up – you name it. With so many prints and textures out there to choose from, it’s hard to decide which one we want to rock first. The best part about this top, and what sold it to us, was the ability to nurse after pregnancy in style. Now, a top that works for during your pregnancy and straight into motherhood without a problem. It’s great to have piece in your wardrobe that isn’t obviously maternity clothes and you don’t have to pass on after your baby is born. All you have to do is pull down and go, which is so convenient for you and the baby.

Date night rolls around and it’s finally time to head out to curb those pregnancy cravings! Finding an outfit that is both casual and chic to make you look as beautiful as you feel can be hard but a free flowing maternity maxi dress hugs all the right places to give an effortlessly stylish look for an all-night wear. With this low neckline, dress it up with a statement necklace or earrings and you’re set. It’s so simple to throw this look together in seconds that it has quickly become our go-to for the warm night. If it’s way too hot to even think about a long dress, a short chiffon strapless maternity dress offers you a breezy option, perfect for dressy or casual with the right layering.

For another day time look for errands, playing with the kids, or running around, a maternity jean and strapless maternity top gives you the freedom to move around comfortably. Even if you’re going to the beach, you can wear this as a quick maternity cover up over your suit because it is a quick on-and-off piece. Sometimes simply getting dressed in the morning is a challenge and your body is growing so much from one day to the next, it’s nice to have a lightweight, non-fitted top, loose top to grow into throughout the trimesters. A top like this will do just that, offering you a transitional look through every change.

Recently, Hannah from Tuketah had a fun, Mexican themed date night with delicious food and rocking an oh-so stylish look. We love how she accessorized this printed top maxi dress with earrings and the most gorgeous bracelets.
