Hey Mama, what’s your name and where are you from?
A: Maria Checchin, from the Philippines and residing currently in Tennessee

How many kids do you have?
A: 1 is 3 years old and another on the way June 21st 🙂

What has been your favorite part about Mother’s Day?
A: Being able to celebrate Mother’s day for the first time and exchanging gifts with my mom. It’s like the circle of life. I’m able to give back all the years of nurture and love my mom has given me and pass it on to my child. I believe that the way your child is raised, could also be a good reflection of how your mom raised you…confident and ambitious children is what we’re aiming for 🙂

What are you most looking forward to on your first Mother’s Day?
A: Spending quality time with my family and stuffing my face with cupcakes and chocolate. No harm done.

How has your style changed during pregnancy?
A: I definitely wear more dresses and leggings to accommodate for chasing my toddler around in public 🙂 Comfort but with style. Dresses are much easier and time efficient in making it look like you put some effort into your attire for the day. Don’t have to pick out pants to match the top.

What’s your biggest Mommy fashion tip?
A: There ain’t no shame to messy hair buns and bright red lipstick to put a simple outfit together 🙂

What is your favorite PinkBlush piece and why?
A: Love the royal blue solid short sleeve ruched maternity dress! The material is SO soft, breathable and perfect for summer time. And that color will turn heads and makes you feel empowered lol I’ll stop now 🙂

What is your funniest Mom moment?
A: When my husband put baby formula in his shaker bottle instead of putting preworkout to go to the gym.

Do you have a must have Mom essential?
A: Baby swing rocker is a must have. My baby passes out quickly and sleeps longer.

What is your proudest Mom moment?
A: Moments when my baby say “please” and “thank you.” Also when the family is overall happy. It makes me feel accomplished.

What is the best advice your Mother gave you?
A: Finish school and don’t date til your 30 lol

What is your best advice to all the Mama’s out there?
A: Don’t ever feel guilty of taking an “off day.” As a mom, I know the feeling of multitasking and trying to fit a list of to-DOs all in one day. You get bogged down and overwhelmed. Sometimes Supermom needs saving too and a day of rest. Take a day to get a pedicure or a spa day with the ladies. Communicate with your other half and let them know you just need some “me time.” Instead of trying to do everything, you can also train hubby to pick up some of the house chores 🙂 Teamwork makes the dream work! Moms needs to take of themselves so that they are in the position to take care of others(family.)

Best quote about motherhood, or a quote from yourself about motherhood.
A:Motherhood is a beautiful, stressful, and crazy journey through piles of dirty laundry, school projects, tantrums…but somehow kids just make it all worth it. I don’t ever believe that kids hold you down from life, they just enhance the overall experience of it.
