I don’t know about you guys, but here at PinkBlush we’re pretty excited for the cold days to be behind us, and the long warm days to take over. We’ve put together a simple DIY scrub to get your skin ready for those shorts and tank-top kind of days!
What you’ll need:
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup finely ground pink himalayan salt
- 1 cup coconut oil
- 5 drops of lavender oil (optional)
- Mason jar (or any sealable container)
- Mixing bowl + mixing utensil
Along with the pretty pink hue, pink himalayan salt contains PH balancing properties and minerals that are super good for your skin. Combining the salt with granulated sugar gives this scrub different textures that can help circulate blood flow, slough off dead skin and help your body absorb more moisture. Coconut oil is a well-known multi-tasking beauty rockstar (just ask Pinterest!) that supplies moisture that lasts even after you rinse off the scrub. Last but not least, lavender oil has a calming scent that makes you feel like you’re at a luxurious spa! Not a fan of lavender? You can use any of your favorite oils instead.
Mix all ingredients into a larger bowl and mash until smooth-ish.
Transfer the scrub into a mason jar (or any sealable container) and go have yourself a relaxing at-home spa day!
