The PinkBlush Team

Hey Mama, what’s your name and where are you from?
A: Casey Shiffner, Philadelphia Pennsylvania

How many kids do you have?
A: One son Harrison Martin and expecting a little girl Nora Everdean in May.

What has been your favorite part about Mother’s Day?
A: Last May was first Mother’s Day, it was a really sweet day. My husband took us to this little taco stand on the side of the road in one of my favorite little beach towns and we just enjoyed the sun and some fresh authentic tacos. Simple and sweet just the way I like things.

How has your style changed during pregnancy?
A: Comfort is really a huge factor (especially this pregnancy for me), but I also want to feel feminine and pretty. Anyone who is pregnant knows sometimes you don’t always feel like yourself, so I’m a huge believer in the, “you look good, you feel good” concept.

What’s your biggest Mommy fashion tip?
A: Go Fitted! Show off those beautiful curves, chances are you’re your own worst critic, and people are not viewing you the way you view yourself. We tend to be so hard on ourselves.

What is your favorite PinkBlush piece and why?
A: I have this green short fitted dress that makes me feel like a million bucks. It is easy to dress up or pairs perfectly with some flip flops.

Do you have a must have Mom essential?
A: Wine for the non-pregnancy times and a pregnancy pillow for those 9 months of uncomfortable sleep !

What are you most looking forward to?
A: Seeing my son share a bond with his soon to-be baby sister. I look forward to witnessing all the little nuances that come with having a sibling.

What is the best advice your Mother gave you?
A: This is a hard one for me personally. My mother was very absent so I guess without really giving me actual advice I learned I was not going to be that kind of mother.

What is your best advice to all the Mama’s out there?
A: Do not compare yourself to other mothers or shame other mothers for doing things differently. Do what works for you and don’t feel guilty if it’s not the “standard.”

Best quote about motherhood, or a quote from yourself about motherhood.
A: “Everything has changed, and yet I’m more me than I have ever been.” – Iain Thomas

What’s your handle?
A: @acesinsquares
